Teaching the seasons here in Public schools goes something like this...
"I like Spring...It's nice and warm"
"I like Summer....It's hot in Summer"
"I like Winter...I can make a snowman"
"I like Fall....I can see red and yellow leaves"
"Fall" because, well, everything is done the American way over here, but at least my students now know there are 2 ways to say Fall ")
So while we are all in the spirit of "Fall" here, although its not gonna last long; its getting *F*R*E*E*Z*I*N*G*, heres a little something of some of my kids at Hakha :)

Video & Pic’s: Hakha Elementary School
Ive done a few post with pictures (click here) and a video (click here) about one of my schools, Kyochon Elementary...thought it was about time I showed you all what my country school (Hakha Elementary) is like...
Hakha is a very small school, with:
Grade 1: 7 students
Grade 2: 4 students
Grade 3: 4 students
Grade 4: 9 students
Grade 5: 8 students
Grade 6: 4 students
So its a complete change from teaching at Kyochon, where I have anything from 22-36 students in a class :)

But enough about that, here are some pics of my kiddies :)
Grade 3
Grade 4
Grade 5
Even though the kids can be a real handful (especially Grade 5) they still know how to make me smile :)
What are ur schools like? Do you teach at 1 school/2 schools...public/hagwon? We would love to hear from u!

Classroom Games ~ *Touch and Go*
This game is a great way to practice vocabulary/target sentences. I'm sure most teachers have done this game at least once, but here is a video for those who haven't. I have called it the "Touch n Go" game. The kids love it, and depeneding on how much time you have/need, it can take up to 20 minutes :)

School games at Hakha Elementary
Today marked the start of my Summer *Vacation* Lessons at my country school, Hakha Elementary.
The Summer Lessons are a scheme I have devised that benefits both myself, and of course, my school. I teach the kids from 9 until 12 o'clock, and then I get to go home. YIPPEE!! I had prepared myself for 12 of my 5th & 6th Grade lower level English students.
Who turned up instead?! The sons and daughters of the remaining staff members as well as 1 x quiet *I dont want to play any games* 3rd grader, 1 x *I'm simply too old for this kind of nonsense* 6th grader, 3 x *pick me, pick me, I know ALL the answers* 4th graders and 1 x *I'm too old for this, but what the heck, games are FUN* 5 grader (not to mention the 4 kindergarten students* who had obviously been bombarded with sugar before entering my class* that I had until they were taken for nap time).
This is a quick video of the us playing a version of pick up sticks with skittles and chopsticks :)

Hakha Happenings
Thought i would post a couple of pics from my other school ~Hakha Elementary~ which is a so called "country school". Im not sure if this is because it is situated off the beaten track (only a little though) or whether its because there are only 37 students in the whole school. Anyways I only teach there on a Monday and Tuesday, for a total of 7 lessons. The kid's english isn't so good, so its a lot tougher to teach them as the text book we "have" to use is to difficult for them. Anyways, here are a few pics from our Science Day (a day when most other schools were having sports day~we were doing experiments!) and a few pics from our 'Friendship Excursion', a little outing for the teachers to hang out together, away from the school :)
How cute are their yellow school outfits :)
